| How long
does my battery last with the JFlame plugged in? |
| |
About 4 hrs with the Afterburner
backlight full on and Java Games are active. The
JFlame draws power directly from the battery of the GameBoy Advance. |
| The GameBoy
Advance doesn't have a keyboard. How can I type text? |
| |
If a MIDP application requires
text input, it can not be currently used on the JFlame due to the missing
numeric keypad on the GameBoy Advance. It is possible to add a keyboard
via the extension port, but this has not been provided as yet. |

JFlame plugged into your GameBoy Advance, use the USB cable that comes
with your JFlame to connect it to your computer. |

| |
The JFlame draws power
from the battery of the GameBoy Advance. Depending on whether backlight
is on and games are active, the battery life varies. |
| Installing
Games |
| |
To install new MIDP games on
the JFlame, you need to connect it with a computer that has Internet
connection. MIDP applications can be found at various sites on the Internet.
Once you've downloaded the MIPD applications onto your computer, you can
go to the Download page to process and download the application to your
JFlame. |
| What is a
MIDlet? |
| |
|
| What
is a JAD or JAR file? |
| |
A MIDlet is packaged and delivered
as two files, the JAD and the JAR file. The JAD file
contains information about the application for the platform to run it
successfully. It may contain the location where the actual application
resides. The JAR file is the actual binary file containing the application
itself. You need to have both the JAD and the JAR files to get the
application processed to run on your JEM Blazer. |
| Why does the
application need to be processed to run on my JEM Blazer? |
| |
You JEM Blazer is
powered by a state-of-the-art Java processor. The application is processed
and optimized to take advantage of the features of the Java processor to
deliver the ultimate experience for the application on your GameBoy Advance. |
