The aJile Systems JFlame-DevKit is a complete
Java MIDP game development kit for the JEMBlazer Java gaming
and multimedia cartridge system. The JEMBlazer cartridge
plugs into the Nintendo® Game Boy Advance and
Game Boy Advance SP systems to provide an accelerated
Java
platform to play MIDP 1.0/2.0 games.
Java MIDP application developers currently rely on Sun
Microsystem's J2ME™ Wireless Tool Kit (WTK) for
MIDlet development but the emulated environment lacks
the real-time response needed to develop gaming applications.
The JEMBlazer development kit provides all the equipment
and tools necessary to build and test MIDP gaming applications
running in real-time. The Java developer can still use
their favorite Java IDE to write Java MIDP applications
since the aJile tool chain only requires .class or .jar
files. The aJile tool chain also includes both source
level and bytecode level debuggers to fully test and
examine application execution.
